My Approach — FAQs

How many sessions will my project take?

In general, small and focused projects usually take 1-3 sessions; 3-8 for your average-sized project; and 8+ for complex and layered projects. But this is highly variable, and really depends on the person and the project.

What if I'm not ready to let things go?

You don't have to! I'll offer the frameworks I have, and give you my advice based on past clients and my own expertise, but ultimately it is your decision to make. Again, the goal here isn't to get rid of everything; its to make your home functional and supportive.

My Rates — FAQs

Can you explain your sliding scale?

The sliding scale makes my work more financially accessible. Some guidelines: if you own property, have an income over 100k, possess generational wealth, or are otherwise privileged in ways other are not, please consider selecting a higher tier of payment.

Why is there a 3-hour minimum?

Most projects, even small ones, require at least three hours to complete. I find three hours is just about right for most people when doing decluttering and organizing work. It allow us to push ourselves to do as much as possible, without overextending ourselves.

General FAQs

Do I need to be BIPOC to work with you?

Not at all. I mention this because the professional organizing industry is overwhelmingly white, and I want to make sure that, if you're of color, you know I'm here, and that I want to work with you! But I love working with all people.

What does a professional organizer do?

At the most basic level, a professional organizer goes into someone's home and organizes whatever clients want organized. However, not all organizers do the same work. For instance, my specialty is decluttering and space planning, including the layout of your furniture. It's important to find a good fit for your project and your needs.
