Laura's Story

Laura is a single mom who, after her divorce, had recently moved into a new home that didn't have a garage. Her hallways were lined with boxes, and it was overwhelming her.

The first thing we worked on, however, was her desk area, because it had almost reached the point of being non-functional.

From this point, many things began to get easier, and Laura was even able to begin unpacking boxes on her own.

Sometimes, all we need is that one session to get us started, and everything else begins to fall into place!

Em's Story

(Em requested their spiritual altars to be blurred in photos.)

Em's clutter was been piling up due to their disability and lack of accessible waste bins. Additionally, their furniture was arranged without distinct zones or boundaries in the room. Everything sort of melded together.

After resolving these issues, Em began to dance around in their space. They told me, "I thought we were doing cleaning work. But it was a cleansing. It was spiritual."

Dee's Story

Dee needed help packing for a move, and was overwhelmed. This was made more difficult by certain traumas that Dee had triggered through the decluttering process.

Organizing work can be hard, and can bring up a lot of difficult emotions. I enjoy helping people through these difficult situations; it's always okay to cry, and to be vulnerable, and work through things. I always make sure to listen and hold space for all my clients feel.

In the end, Dee was able to let go of many of the triggering items. Objects sometimes demand more of us than they give. In these cases, it is often best to let go.

Everyone's story is a little different; I'd love to know yours.

Sometimes we just need a little help to kickstart our organizing journey. If you're ready to start your journey, I'd love to hear from you.
